Vermont is for All Seasons!
Vermont is a fun place to be all year round. There is
something for everyone to do or discover. The winters are long and supply ample
amounts of snow. Enjoy a quiet XC-ride through our forests, or enjoy miles of
groomed snowshoe-trails, or ride along the VAST snowmobile trails, or....
If you prefer speed over serenity, there are several ski areas nearby,
including Sugarbush, Killington, and the Dartmouth Skiway.
Spring (once the snow is gone) and summer offer so many things to do: bicycling, canoeing, hiking, golfing (the nearby Lake Morey Inn & Resort has an 18 hole golf course), hot air ballooning, fishing, swimming, tennis, to name a few. Antique shops, museums, theaters, restaurants and craft stores are abundant, and flea markets or yard sales are very common here.
Fall has its special treat: The fall foliage turns our trees into a firework of colors, attracting an audience from all over the world. Tip: Rent a convertible and drive along some of the country roads for an unforgettable fall foliage outing!
Visitors also enjoy the Quechee Gorge, the Maple Grove Maple Museum, the Montshire Museum, the Hopkins Center for the Arts at Dartmouth College, Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream Factory, the Cabot Farmer's Cooperative Creamery, Billings Farm and Museum, the Calvin Coolidge homestead, the Saint-Gaudens National Historic Site, and many other places of interest.
